Júlia Brunet Studio: comprehensive interior design projects for apartments

When a flat doesn’t reflect your lifestyle, transforming it can become an overwhelming process: too many decisions, too many doubts, and the risk of wasting money.

At Júlia Brunet studio, we develop comprehensive interior design projects for apartments, managing every phase from start to finish. Design, materials, construction management, and final delivery—everything is coordinated to ensure a clear and worry-free process.

The result is a serene and luminous home that reflects your way of life.

Our interior design projects for apartments

The best way to understand how we work is to see the results. These are some of our interior design projects for apartments in Barcelona.

Interior design for a 75m² apartment, Manlleu

We redesigned the layout to maximize the entry of natural light and incorporated a system of custom doors that illuminate the hallway from above, turning a limitation into a design element.

Interior design for apartment with sea views, Sant Feliu de Guíxols

Second family home in the Baix Empordà region with views of the Mediterranean. We transformed the space to capture the calm and light of the sea, combining traditional textures and elements with contemporary furnishings.

Interior design in a stately home, Rambla Catalunya

The floors were designed to preserve the building’s original character: existing beams, generous ceiling heights, and honest materials. The layout is resolved through window and door volumes that divide without closing off the space, allowing light to pass through.

Interior Design for a Family Home, Eixample Esquerra

Former offices in the Eixample Esquerra district have been converted into a family home. We restored the building’s original moldings and rosettes and integrated them with a contemporary layout and designer furniture. Spacious, bright, and full of character.

One of the few interior design studios in Barcelona rated 5 stars

Mireia Torruella: apartment interior designer and creator of Júlia Brunet

Júlia is my daughter’s name. Brunet is my grandmother’s surname. The studio’s name isn’t a person—it’s a way of understanding interior design: roots, evolution, and continuity.

I grew up surrounded by materials, pieces, and furniture fairs. That early exposure taught me to combine things thoughtfully, to recognize quality, and to understand that a well-designed space begins long before construction.

Every interior design project we develop for apartments is a dialogue with the space and the people who will live there. We seek clear, honest, and balanced solutions—spaces designed to be lived in.

Frequently Asked Questions

An interior design project for apartments involves analyzing and transforming a home, starting with technical analysis and redefining the layout, and continuing through the coordination of the renovation and final decoration. It goes beyond mere decoration: it incorporates interior architecture to optimize circulation, proportions, natural light, and the relationship between rooms.

A traditional renovation is a technical process that improves the condition of a home, but not necessarily its functionality or spatial coherence. Interior design for apartments, on the other hand, goes a step further. It redefines how the space is organized and experienced before making any changes: it analyzes the layout, studies the relationship between rooms, optimizes natural light, and defines a coherent aesthetic direction that guides every construction decision.

There are times when an interior design studio makes all the difference: before moving into a newly purchased apartment, when an old home needs to be rethought from scratch, during a life stage change, or when you want to improve the market value of the apartment before selling it.

At Júlia Brunet, we approach homes as a whole, not room by room. Each space is designed with aesthetic continuity and functional criteria: optimizing circulation in living rooms, creating coherent and comfortable relaxation areas in bedrooms, or transforming balconies into habitable spaces integrated with the interior.

The entire process takes an average of four to six months, from the initial consultation to final delivery. The timeframe varies depending on the complexity of the project, the size of the apartment, and the extent of the structural changes. A complete renovation involving a total redesign requires more time than a project focused solely on finishes and materials.

For complete renovations, we recommend not living in the home during the process. Construction generates dust, noise, and constant interruptions that disrupt daily life and, above all, slow down the progress of the work and delays. If your personal circumstances prevent you from leaving the home, we will analyze each case individually to organize the phases of the work in the most compatible way possible.

No. The management and supervision of the project is the responsibility of the studio. We coordinate all the professionals involved—builders, installers, suppliers—and constantly monitor the process to ensure that each phase progresses as planned.

The cost typically ranges from €6,000 to €25,000 in fees, although this depends on the surface area, the scope of the work, and the level of customization. After an initial meeting, we will clearly and systematically define the budget and fees.
